Let's think this through this logically. Rap artist talent (on scale of 1-10): 1-3 (at highest, using drum machines and hot girls to sell your music ISN"T TALENT!!!!) Modern Rock Talent: 2-6 (Guitarists these days just don't match the old ones) Classic Rock: 3-7 Rock 'n' Roll: 5-8 Metal: 5-8 Thrash Metal: 2-6 In otherwords, Rap takes no talent what so ever. What happened to the days of Maiden, the Crue, Led Zeppelin, Queen, and Hendrix. Dead, I suppose.

I like R & B and Christian! Casting Crowns is the best.. What if the armies of the Lord Picked up and dusted off their swords Vowed to set the captives free And not let satan have one more What if the church, for heaven's sake Finally stepped up to the plate Took a stand upon God's promise And stormed hell's rusty gates Chorus: What if His people prayed And THOSE who bare His name Would humbly seek His face And Turn from their own way And what would happen if we prayed For those raised up to lead the way Then maybe kids in school could pray And unborn children see light of day What if the life that we pursue Came from a hunger for the truth What if the family turned to Jesus Stopped asking Oprah what to do Chorus: What if His people prayed And THOSE who bare His name Would humbly seek His face And Turn from their own way He said that they would hear His promise has been made He'll answer loud and clear If only we would pray If My people called by My name If they'll humble themselves and pray If My people called by My name If they'll humble themselves and pray Chorus: What if His people prayed And THOSE who bare His name Would humbly seek His face And Turn from their own way He said that they would hear His promise has been made He'll answer loud and clear If only we would pray What if His people prayed If My people called by My name.......... Country is ok too..((the romancy kinda..like rascal flatts "Bless the Broken Road" and lonestar, "Amazed" stuff like that)) (Edited by CourtyLynn at 5:27 pm on May 8, 2005)

Classic rock and country rock are my favorites. Rap and punk rock is just total crap to me.

Genres I love: I like punk rock because it challenges everything that is wrong in this world. I agree with most of it to some extent, but I guess I'm not as radical. I like goth because its a whole lifestyle centered around music. The thing that bugs me though is them saying its a non conformist statement, it actually isn't since you are conforming to that group, but besides that it interests me that it brings out how really dark the human nature is. I like alternative because it defies the norm, and it is more artistic, other than following what a record company wants. Despite these points I listen to this music because it sounds really good in my own opinion. Genres I hate personally: Country-Everything about it seems to reak false patriotism. It really sucks, and your booed if you happen to not agree with everything authority says. Metal-Too many people think they are so hardcore or different because they listen to metal. It bores me completely, and really has no point. Too many sweaty masculine frat boys in that group for me to love it. Whatever floats your boat though. Rap-I like some of it. It is really creative if you think about it, but its going to hell with the overuse of bitches and hos. I think if some rapper comes along with a real good message now I would be happy. I know some people like this, and I'm not saying you can't, but personally you won't find my listening to Toby Keith. Sorry.
------- Just cause you see it doesn't mean its there.

I like emo alot more now too. My friends kinda got me into metal a little bit, I mean I like slipknot and Mudvayne, but just recently i got the TBS cd, loved it, so i downloaded some other songs by them. Then, all of a sudden I got the emo craze and thats all i listen to, bands like Senses Fail and Thursday, I also like Funeral for a Friend and Hawthorne Heights. Emo kicks raps ass as far as I'm concerned. Some rap is okay, I like eminem, he actually has some compelling lyrics. Dr. Dre isn't bad and Sneep Dogg is pretty cool, but all the rappers these days are cookie-cutter, all the exact same. Sound the sam, look the same. And the rock genre is becoming to large to say that that is my favourite. Myers.....OUT
