I have no frigging clue how many different types of religions there are and frankly there isn't anything anybody of you could do to make me fall into any of those. I've been raised with 5 completely opposite religions, so you don't exactly have much chance.

But the thing is, most people defend their religion as if it's the correct religion and all. But what does religion mean? It means you believe in something. If you were right, it would've been a science. Nobody ever came back from the other side to tell who was right, so what exactly is the point of basically wasting time trying to defend a religion?

I understand that for some it gives hope or fills something deep inside or something but hey.. your strawberry will still taste the same if you switch the lights off.

it's a difference in assumptions; you can't understand why other people assume certain things so you think they're wrong in those assumptions and thus what's built on top of them

That's a dimished logic, for every religion that there exists on Earth, from Christianity to Budism, there are cults and groups which assume they are right. Given the case that there has to be at least 1 correct, the rest is all following a false prophet, so to say.

Science as the traditional sense is a very limited subject.
Science in it's meaning is knowledge and certaincy.

I defend my religion, and will continue to do so until the day i die. However, i only feel the need to defend it when i feel like it is being attacked. Yes, I understand that no one has ever come back and said "oh, by the way, you better convert cuz Christianity isn't the right one", but o well, maybe all the religions are right, for the same reason that you dont know if only one religion is right, you dont know that all of them arent either.

I dont know about all the other religions, but mine, Christianity, requires me to have faith....to believe in something without having solid evidence, without having science.

Religion is based on fictional grounds... it's based on stories.

Key phrase there, "believe it is right". Just because you believe in something, doesn't make it a fact.

The way I see it, no religion is the ONLY right religion.  I think that most of the ideas that you MUST follow one religion for salvation was created hundreds of years ago for political reasons rather than religious ones.
