Personally I wouldn't date someone 4 years old than me until I was in my 20's. I'd only date someone 2 years older until then.

I'm dating someone 4 years older than me, who I started dating in high school. But I was also 17/18. I wouldn't suggest a freshman or sophmore dating someone 19 or in their 20's.
