Im not "Goth" anymore , i used to be but i know now that it was only just a faze.And im not talking about little mall goth punks and all that.People say "Goth" is a personality among anything..not just clothes , makeup , music and such.Im still the same i was inside.But anyways..i was talking to a psycologist (sorry if i spelt it wonrg) and we were talking about rehab (thats were im going) and he mentioned that im not allowed to wear any type of makeup while im there...and i said why not? Then he went on this big rant about how i couldnt wear makeup cause i needed to accept myself the way i was without "hiding" behind a mask of makeup.And i thought..thats a good statement / point. And then i thought well when i was "Goth" I wore a BUNCH of makeup..and i mean ...white face primer..i drew my eyebrows on and it was kinda like a halloween mask.And i know i only did it cause i was going through a faze where i was VERY insecure and wanted to hide from everythhing / everyone.But then i read somewheres that goth people are not uaully depressed and they like there lives / there really happy people , there just "being themseleves"...and i dont wannna disagree cause i dont know every goth personally obviously but honestly i DO think most goths hate their lives and want a lil bit of attention...what do you guys think??

They are hiding sad pathetic lives.
They  get no attention, they have low self-esteem, they hate living at home, they are poor, they are ugly, people pick on them, etc. some of those are the most things emos and goths  suffer with.

I think you should drop the stereotypes all together.

I was never "goth" but I always pictured them as the losers at my school who are all friends with the other losers, but most of them do indeed seem happy, but that doesn't go to show that all of them are happy.

I say throw out the stariotype, dress like you want to.

I think people have been over the word Goth for like, five fucking years.

Seriously, nobody even really knows what goth is about anymore. The nineties, and marilyn manson in particular really messed things up for the subculture.

And they wear makeup because pale is beautiful, but living under the sun causes colours.
