Ahh the fabled Marginot Line. Massive fortress powerful strong and heavily armed. Utterly useless against the Blitzkreig. The French designed their defenses based on how WW1 started when they they should have based them on how WW1 ended - with the tank.

That's hardly a reason to disrespect French. The US has only been around for a couple hundred years while France's history is way way longer and richer. If it's going to be based on military strategy and capability, I'm sure this ongoing Iraq crisis looks bad when compared to the couple months it was said to have taken.
