See, you just list the items you want to give away, and then you list the items you want to receive.  Swaptree notifies you when an item on your want list is available, and then you can decide whether or not you want to initiate a trade, or someone may initiate a trade with you.

I started using the site because there were a quite of lot of things I wanted, but no money to buy them, but I was pretty more than willing to pay 3 dollars for shipping a DVD than spending 20 bucks on it.

The site is pretty self-explanatory, I think.  I've traded one CD for an entire season DVD set, so...it can come in handy.
