Can I use my iPod as an USB Flash Drive?

Like I need one for a class, and I can't find mine. So can I use it to put a folder of pictures on it, that I can access at school?

Don't misinform people.

Yes you can use it as a device, you switch it to enable file storage on your ipod section on iTunes and you just plug it in via cable, my entire computing and art coursework last year was move back and for between home and school like that.

Do you have a GMail account?  You can use that as a virtual drive.

Or you can use http://www.4shared.com/ - You create an account and you get 5 gigs of space to store files and you can access them from any computer with internet.

Yes, depending on what model you have.

iPod Touches, and iPhones do not have disk use capabilities.

For the rest of them, you have to enable disk-use mode in iTunes, and you can further more use them as flash-drives.

Yes you can. Plug in your ipod and then go into the ipod management setting and look for an option called "Enable Disk Usage" or soemthing to that effect, and that will allow you to use it as a flash drive.

Well then go to your local Walmart/Target/Best Buy/etc and pick up a flash drive.  They're really cheap now.

Yes, you can just put the what ever you need on your Ipod. Using the folder from your Ipod you can keep the data on there. Then when your ready to use it, just plug it in the computer and drag out from the folder in your ipod. Works with Mp3's too.
