At my college, I took out a 6 thousand dollar loan for living expenses but it was through my parent plus loan meaning my moms responsible for it but im paying it back. I couldnt get a loan in my name because im under the age of 25.. wierd i know. But My financial aid counselor did like a credit check thing for my mom to see if ican get it through her and if you can't, i believe theres a standarized student loan you can do. Best thing to do is talk to your financial aid counselor about it.
