I pierced it on my own.
&& i highly doubt my ear will get infectedd i clean it out 4 times a day with the ear cleaner that comes with the kit.
And for extra precautions i use alcohol too.
But yeahh i was wonderingg how longg should i wait to take the ringg out, and put a new onee in?

I have my industrial done. and its 2 cartilage piercing and it took mine 1 year to heel.

I would wait about 6 months.

About four months. Thats how long mine took to actually heal all the way, and i peirced mine on my own. My friend's moms took about 3 months. It kinda sucks at first, but just be patient!!!

At least 6 weeks. Maybe more, since you did it yourself. Better to be safe than sorry. Mine sometimes gets sore and gets a lump every now and then, even though I got it pierced professionally, so you should probably be a bit cautious O_O

Me and a friend pierced each others once.
Mine got so infected that my mom had to yank it out with tweezers because of all the pus and blood.

And I had one done at Walmart with a gun. It, too, got infected.

Oh yeah. Mine was infected too for the first 3 months. I just twisted it and put hydrogen peroxide on it and stuff. It will be okie.

Well for a normal ear piercing i think your supposed to leave it be for 4 weeks. So maybe she didn't know her stuff and just guessed a bit higher cause it was a cartilage.
