Do you guiys think to have a good or better relationship two people need to have something in common? My bf and me are polar opposites and i had an aphiany the othr day; to be ultimatly happy with your significant other do you need to have things in common to grow old together? Like when we spend time together its great but i hardly hang out with his friends all together in a social kind of way and he doesnt even want to hang out with me...I beach play sports, talk, socialize, and love to get out. He stays at home, plays videogames, and doesnt like partying at all. What are your opnions..(Sorry so long)

I dunno really. I have alot in common with my bf, same taste in music, films, books, and the similiar opinions about things. The only thing we don't have in common is how he loves to drink and go to bars and such, but I don't. I think if we didn't have much in common we would try and work round it so both of us are happy.

A good balance of having, and not having, things in common is pretty much needed. Though there are exceptions. It depends on the people and how they see and value the relationship, and just what those differences are.
