Not really, because none of my friends were really allowed coffee either. It was only when we all went to college that friends tried coffee.

When I was younger I never wanted to try coffee, and my parents always told me I couldn't drink it until I got old enough to make my own decisions.

I think iced coffee is alright. It's not the best thing on Earth, as some may claim, but it's not bad. I do pick up one occasionally on my way to school.

But Caffeine is nothing like alcohol...it doesnt damage the developing brain, unless taken in large amounts. Alchohol does from the beginning, even a shot. I'd say it should be illegal for children under 14.

This is stupid.

1. People under 18 really don't have to worry much about debt.

2. Straight coffee out of the coffee maker may color your teeth over a long period of time, but an iced coffee from starbucks isn't gonna do a thing.

3. It doesn't disturb sleep. It only would if you drank the coffee right before bed.

4. It doesn't hurt the brain. It doesn't hurt anything in your body, but maybe adds some calories. That's it.

Your reasoning sucks.

You are over exagerating this by huge proportions. The disturbance of sleep would not occur, lest you had a caffiene addiction. This would only occur if you were drinking excessivley large amounts of caffiene per day. Why/how would a child drink that much coffee, without getting sick?
Discolour of teeth, bad argument, everything damages teeth. Even vegetables.
Put you in debth? Seriously, now this is just stupid. A packet of coffee is like what, €3? One of those would last nearly a week. Come on.

I see no reason for it to be illegal to young people over 14, 16 at most. Other substances are over 18 for specific reasons, caffiene does not fall into that category.
