Roommate problem
Should I move out?

So... I lost all trust in my college roommate. He doesn't know this. Long story short... I helped him out immensely last year with a problem. A few kids that he's friends with, he says that they're just there to fill a void. Then, when I have an "issue" with these friends, he doesn't stick up for me. I actually caught him talking badly about me behind my back. I just wanted to say, "After all I did for you last year, you couldn't stick up for me? You even said yourself that these people are just there to fill a void, so why would you even care about losing them to stick up for a true friend?" I didn't/haven't said that yet, but I'm contemplating doing so. I just lost all respect and trust for the kid, and I don't want anything to do with him anymore. Not to mention, he gives out all of his prescribed pills to people, is kind of sketchy now that I think about it, and is cool one day then extremely distant the next. I just don't want any of this anymore.

My question is.. Should I move out at the end of the semester (right before we leave for Christmas break)? Then I'd only have 4 months of commuting, and i live 30 minutes away. Not bad at all. Next year, I'm a senior and i'll definitely be able to get a single room.

Edit: Ok, now should I tell him I'm moving out right before we leave for Xmas break, or move all my stuff out after he's gone, and not say anything, and when he tries calling me, not pick up? I need a good way to go about this, and I need help in knowing what to say. I don't want to be a bitch, but I'd like this guy to feel a little bad for himself.
