LiveWire, honestly, make up your mind.

Please, this is ridiculous. If I type normally, with a vernacular vocabulary, my intelligence is questioned whenever I make a topic for those who want to discuss philosophy, history, ethics, and so forth.

But of course, what happens when I expand my vocabulary and begin writing in essay format? I am accused of overwriting and coming off as pompous.

Tell me LiveWire, because I honestly do not know, do you want posts that a 5th grader can read? If so, then do not use my vocabulary as a measure of intelligence. If you want me to write as if I was drafting a final, then do not complain that the words are too complicated.

I'm sorry if this offends any who feel their intelligence is threatened, perhaps you should blame those who decided to land a cheap-shot by taking the eloquence of a topic as a measure of intelligence when I was told to convey the message in vernacular style in the hopes more people could contribute to the topic.

But again LiveWire, which do you want? Because this is really getting old.

I just think 80% of your topics sound like the immature rantings of an overly hormonal 15 year old.

Personally, i would rather have you type final draft style than 7th grade girl IM lingo.

But, I think you will find that finding a balance will be your best bet.

Think rough draft.

I like your philosophical posts. I like them better when I can understand them.

So many people don't get this but they need to.

The purpose of language is communication. What does that mean? It means you use the language necessary to convey what you're trying to say. Verbosity for the sake of being verbose is not a good thing.
