it has been my experience that most churches are under equipped to deal with people who might have special needs.

I have been told by several doctors that I cannot become active in ministry due to my various diseases and disabilities. I'd have to agree with them by asking if a church would really want person with a relapseable disease that removes my ability to walk or properly function without significant pain or my moderate/severe Generalized Anxiety coupled with OCD and Obsessive tendencies?

the physical disabilities should in no way impair you. you can be a minister in a wheelchair if it should come to that.

the other things should probably be taken under advisement, although i know people here in seminary with me who have a variety of disabilities/disorders etc...

the girl who lives down the hall from me is on lithium for bipolar disorder...and she is an MDiv who got cleared by a candidacy committee...

it is totally possible to overcome it.
