Shit I appologize.
I know you dont want to lecture them but you have to step up and say something to them...If all ese fails you have to tell their parents or someone that can and will get them help.

You can't lecture them about it. Just support them, and try and help when you can. Has anyone else noticed the changes?

The reason they are doing this is because they think they are overweight. They want to look more attractive.

The best way to get through to them is to appeal to that sense of looking attractive. Tell them they don't look as good as they used to after they've lost this weight (if they have indeed lost weight).

Back when I wasn't eating, I would often skip one meal (usually breakfast), and just wait out until the next one to eat. I got better and better at controlling my hunger pains, and I would go longer and longer without eating. At some point, it got to the point where I wouldn't eat until the sun went down.

I see your friend starting to fall into that same pattern. Be careful.

if the person says that all the food is food for them then suggest they find something healthy.

Try and persuade them to at least eat something. Cheese and crackers, fruit...anything. Just don't force them to eat big meals or anything which might frighten them off their food.
